The world’s huge and expensive malware problem is accelerating. McAfee Avert Labs expected in 2006 to have recorded their 225,000th unique network threat, finding 50,000 threats between Jan and Nov of 2006 alone. Growing threats for 2007 include new forms of parasitic malware and ransomware, and mobile attacks using SMS (SMiShing).
