Back in May (2017) I bought about 200 dollars worth of an altcoin called #digibyte. This was after they announced they had a project that would allow gamers to mine real cryptocurrency within a Minecraft server. I was excited. The currency actually did get up to a few thousand dollars but then it dropped down shortly after the announcement and after they lost a contest for a separate blockchain technology they had.
