  • Why Does Music Distrubution Suck so Bad?

    RIAA .lol.

One of my favorite groups of all time, the ROOTS, just came out with a new album, “Rising Down”
music industry sucks (?uestion describes the picture: “This drawing is entitled NEGRO RULE. and it pretty much sums up the feeling of the Confederate Union towards the newly freed slaves and the idea that if given power they would reek havoc and chaos on the country.” hardy-har-har OBAMA j/k

So, yeah. I want a digital selection of quality from ROOTS/Rising Down to check out. So I try to find it on their site.. which if freakin’ Myspace page :http://www.theroots.com. I really want to buy their album but their label (defjam) they don’t have anything for my MP3 Player.

The record industry sucks. And they wonder why people steal the music. The record industry has become the firewall in front of the product. They remind me of the Agents in the Matrix:

We have survived by hiding from them, by running from them. But they are the gatekeepers. They are guarding all the doors, they are holding all the keys which means that sooner or later, someone is going to have to fight them. — Morpeus

Artists need to get away from this old, corrupt bureaucracy like Nine Inch Nails has. NIN has full unimpeded connection with their fans. They sell directly to the customer with no middle man. All their fans can come to there site and talk directly to them, buy their products, talk with each other even re-mix their music.

I wish all my favorite artists allow this kind of access to material.
