Butte Community Bank has been notified by numerous members that they have received e-mail requesting account information. We will never ask you to verify your account information via e-mail.
Due to increasing number of fraudulent e-mails claiming to be from BCB, all Visa Cards, including yours (4850-9900-XXXX-XXXX) have been deactivated.
We understand that having limited access can be an inconvenience, but protecting your account is our primary concern. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

    Normal everyday non internet savvy people need to get aware of these interenet scams like phishing, that is for certain

    This is also going out as a text message to cell phones. Different banks, same content.
