If "SCAMMERS" can go around breaking people's hearts, why can't we do the same with them? Our main obstraction for now, is our innovation. But until we find a better way to send them into a deep hole, let's use all the social blogs to alert our best friends. IT pays MORE!

hello, i also was sent a e-mail saying i was the winner of the united kingdom lottery. the man called his self mark jo. that name sounded a little strange and he said i would hear from a man named larry miller. i did but after all the excitement of being told i was the winner of one million five hundred thousand american dollars i would have to send them 1,386.00 for taxes.that didnot make sence to me at all because if we won a lottery here we would have to pay taxes. this is a scam because i am sure their are people have fell for it. and people like this need to be stopped. because of gullible people that may send their last dime to them to fill their pockets. so beware everyone because these people know how to make it sound true, all i can say is god have mercy on their souls. thanks vivian

What a tease!!!

When I recieved the first email that was sent to me about being a winner of 850, 000 Great British Pounds. But I was very suspicious about it. I wouldn't release any of my personal information to them until I felt like it could actually be true.

A Mr. Brian Adams (like the singer....??? C'MON!) was the man that was supposedly "in charge" of my file. I email Mr. Adams back asking for more information and details on this Lottery, and he sent me all the information I asked for, and some. I then thought, "Well, this could actually be true." and unfortunately got my hopes up, just like for everything else. Mr. Adams told me that I would need to contact their "recommended" courier service to ship my winnings to my location. As I was reading the couriers information, I noticed that the Senior Delivery Officer was a Mr. Richard Adams. Now, either Richard and Brian are family and this is a scam, or there are lots of British people with the last name Adams.

I decided that if I wanted to know what I was getting into, I might want to do some research. As soon as I entered "United Kingdom National Lottery" in google, I was bombarded with webpages about this being a scam. Lets just say that 1 out of every 8 addresses in googles search were not about the Lottery being a scam.
I read in a lot of these websites that if you DO NOT purchase a National Lottery Ticket (from Britain) you CANNOT be a winner. But I was supposedly chosen through a Computerized Email Selection System. Well, I still thought that there might be a chance that this could be true, so I continued to research.

I found out from a blog site about these kind of scam, that if you are asked for a passport or tell you the amount that you have won, IT IS A SCAM! The National Lottery of UK states on their site that they NEVER indicate the winning amount in an email.

So there you have it. That was enough for me to know that this is in fact a scam and, I, being a gullable person, should ALWAYS do my research before jumping into anything so unexpected.

Yes, the any lottery emails regarding the United Kingdom are a scam and you can go to the National Lottery Commission web site: http://www.natlotcomm.gov.uk
for their explanation. Basically you need to have bought a ticket to win anything and need a UK address.
