Social Security Gov Retirement Benefits
November 18, 2007
To Baby Boomers,
Don’t put your retirement completely in the hands of the government. Their incompetence is remarkable. Though I believe that government in some form is necessary, I think the larger a government is the more incompetent it becomes.
I really hope your Social Security works for you as you retire, but the people we have been electing have been making really bad decisions. I believe we will eventually right these wrongs. Any changes that happen will have to come from “we the people”

Dear Sir,
I have applied for social security recently on line. I was instructed to then check my application for benefits on line . After going to the social security website I was to look under “apply for benefits” and select “check our claim status”, I could not find either.
DEAR FAMILY AND FRIENDS,
THIS IS NOT A JOKE, THINK OF YOURSELF, YOUR CHILDREN AND THE FUTURE GENERATIONS TO FOLLOW.
DID WE REALLY ELECT THESE SENATORS AND WHY? THEY ARE NOT WORKING IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE POPULATION OF THEIR RESPECTIVE STATES OR THE CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES INGENERAL.
THESE SENATORS ARE HELPING TO BANKRUPT THE SOCIAL SECURITY SYSTEM OF THE UNITED STATES, IT IS ABOUT TIME THEY HAD TO LIVE ON THE SAME SOCIAL SECURITY CHECKS AS EVERYONE ELSE IN THE US! ARE THESE SENATORS OUR ALLIES OR OBAMA’S?
IF YOU LOVE YOUR FAMILY AND THE UNITED STATES FORWARD THIS TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW AND WHEN IT COMES TO ELECTING GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS REMEMBER WE VOTED THEM IN AND WE CAN VOTE THEM OUT!

SOCIAL SECURITY:
(This is worth reading. It is short and to the point.)
Perhaps we are asking the wrong questions during election years.
Our Senators and Congresswomen do not pay into Social Security
and, of course, they do not collect from it.
You see, Social Security benefits were not suitable for persons of
their rare elevation in society. They felt they should have a special
plan for themselves. So, many years ago they voted in their own benefit
In more recent years, no congressperson has felt the need to change it.
After all, it is a great plan.
For all practical purposes their plan works like this:
When they retire, they continue to draw the same pay until they die.
Except it may increase from time to time for cost of living adjustments..
For example, Senator Byrd and Congressman White and their wives may
expect to draw $7,800,000.00 (that’s Seven Million, Eight-Hundred Thousand
, with their wives drawing $275, 000.00 during the last years of their This is calculated on an average life span for each of those two
Dignitaries. Younger Dignitaries who retire at an early age, will receive much more
during the rest of their lives.
Their cost for this excellent plan is $0.00. NADA..! ZILCH…
This little perk they voted for themselves is free to them. You and I pick
up the tab for this plan. The funds for this fine retirement plan come
directly from the General Funds; ‘OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK’!
From our own Social Security Plan, which you and I pay (or have paid) into,
every payday until we retire (which amount is matched by our employer). We
can expect to get an average of $1,000 per month after retirement.
Or, in other words, we would have to collect our average of $1,000 monthly
benefits for 68 years and one (1 month to equal Senator Bill Bradley’s benefits!
Social Security could be very good if only one small change were made.
That change would be to: Jerk the Golden Fleece Retirement Plan from
under the Senators and Congressmen.Put them into the Social Security
plan with the rest of us .
Then sit back…..
And see how fast they would fix it.
If enough people receive this, maybe a seed of awareness will be planted
and maybe good changes will evolve.
Effective Jan 1, 2008 there is another change, we past 70 already pay tax on our SS benefits, and are charged Medicare Part B $90.40
‘ New for 2008 - Plus $64.50 for the income-related monthly adjustment amount based on your 2006 income tax return.’
Dear Sir/Madam:
1) Per one of your lady staff yesterday, 3/17,08, I was informed that my retirement claim has already been approved. However, in this regard, since I have unpaid loan balances, is it safe to assume that all my loan balances as of date shall be deducted from the total retirement benefits that I am entitled to and then whatever is the difference after deductions, the amount of my monthly pension shall then be determined.
2) When shall I start to receive my monthly pension and what is the effectivity of the pension?
Please advise me on the matter. Thank you and more power to SSS. With best wishes, I remain
Very truly yours,
REBECCA Z. PARCO
I just want to know when I can file, and how much I will receive.
Thank you,
karen
Why are the peoples always lied to when it comes to receiving the SSI or SSB from the Goverment. I was told I would hear something within 210 days. And this was a lie. I applied for SSB because I had motorcycle accident and lost both of my legs, Therefore I can`t work any more and sit in a wheelchair. I applied through the American Consulate General—Frankfurt Am Main,Germany. I`m a
American citizen living overseas because of my Job–But since the accident I`m
out of work and almost out of a home—I just want to know why is it taken so long for the SSB to begin. Also I`m a American Veteran and I served my country well.
I am retired military will that have an efect on my social security benefits when i apply.
