
Create a Template for Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003 |

To create a PowerPoint template in Office PowerPoint 2003 go to View | Master | and select Slide Master
Once in Slide Master you will see a small menu, Slide Master View, that will allow you to create a Title Slide. The Slide Master View will allow you to do the following:
It helps to rename and save your new slide something memorable. We will name this slide POWERPOINT_ONE. So click, Rename Master and type in the name “POWERPOINT_one” or whatever you want. Change the FontTo change the font of POWERPOINT_one, simply click on the textbox and select a font (this can be done in the font menu above or by right clicking).
Change Background Color of PowerPoint TemplateSelect Format | Background and choose a color. *you can also use Color Schemes
Adding ImagesTo add images select Insert | Picture | “from file” and select the image you wish. With images it may be important to know that you can actually put the textbox over the images. Right click on the edge of the textbox, and select “Order” and “Bring to Front”.
To Save the PowerPoint TemplateChoose the Design Template (*.pot) option in the Save as type box, and give your template a file name that you will recognize. The Default Save location is in C:\Documents & Settings\{userprofile}\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates When you are selecting your new custom template, make sure you select Browse located in the bottom right hand corner of the “Slide Design” Right-hand side bar that comes up when you click File | New | and “From New Design” (also under File | New | under “Templates” | "On my computer").
